Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae is an urban marae in the heart of Māngere. They have set up extensive community gardens nearly 30 years ago on a hectare of land. As part of the goal to encourage healthier lifestyles, they run certificate-level Kai Oranga programmes. Run in partnership with Te Waka Kai Ora – National Maori Organics Authority of Aotearoa, the programmes teach hua parakore and organic food production using traditional Māori values and ethics.

Papawhakaritorito Whānau Food Farm, is set on 12 acres at the foothills of the Remutaka Ranges in the Kaitoke, Wellington. The farm produces kai to provide food security and nourishment for four whānau houses.

Warren Mills and Marina Strioukova are the inventors of the Bee Venom Tooth GelTM of certified organic bee products.Warren Mills (Ngati Kahu) is a Maori beekeeper who works and lives on his ancestral lands ‘Mills Farm’ in Peria in the Far North of New Zealand.

Beekeeping always been a family tradition. Warren‘s father was a beekeeper who learned his trade from the late Sir Edmund Hillary’s father. Warren has been bee-keeping for over fifty years.

Marina Strioukova, his partner, arrived from her homeland of Russia in 1995, bringing her beekeeping skills and knowledge.
